Since we have lived here we have been watching LifeChurch TV on Sundays. There really isn't anything that compares! Craig is amazing and on top of things, challenging people instead of making church just some routine on Sundays. We are going to continue watching Life Church but we decided to try a local Church so we can meet some good people and get Locke involved in Sunday school.
Well we tried a church Clint heard about from some people at work. It was a different experience than we were use to but it was good. Everyone was super friendly. There was a board at the back of the church that told the attendance from last week and the amount of offering given. There were around 100 people. We took Locke to the nursery. He was the only one in there so we felt pretty comfortable leaving him and it was kept super clean. The service was nice. Clint dropped the keys in the middle of the service and everyone turned around....but it was fine. All in all the people were nice but we really, really miss Life Church or Buckhead church in Atlanta! We will keep trying out different Churches in hopes for something similar but watching online is still awesome!
We are getting back on schedule this week. we have been catching up since we got back from Vacation. we already miss everyone but we are glad to be back with Clint.
Sorry for the intrusion into your blog -- but your blog came up on one of my Google watches for posts related to Guam.
ReplyDeleteWhen we lived on Guam we were a part of the Lutheran Church of Guam -- definitely not LifeChurch.tv. (There is no one quite like Craig, whom I know from our common connection to the Evangelical Covenant Church.) But there was a LifeChurch military family there -- now Stateside. They'd watch LifeChurch online and participate in LCG. LCG is small compared to what you're used to but they are great people -- many serious followers of Christ -- excellent pastor -- we do miss them.
